Sainz insists Alonso will stick with McLaren-Honda

Fernando Alonso will not leave McLaren over the winter according to fellow Spaniard Carlos Sainz, who insists the two-time champion is a 'fighter'. There has been reports suggesting that Alonso has given McLaren and Honda an ultimatum for 2016, including performance targets, which if not met, could see him walk away mid-season. However Sainz is certain Alonso will stick with the project: "Yes, he will be on the grid next year because he has to give [McLaren-Honda] a chance," the Toro Rosso driver told Spain's AS.
