Williams: Second Bottas stop 'too late'

– Williams has admitted that it called Valtteri Bottas into the pits "too late" during the second round of stops at the Japanese Grand Prix.Bottas was the first of the leaders to pit on a Medium/Medium/Hard strategy, which initially kept him third, ahead of Mercedes' Nico Rosberg.Rosberg soon passed Bottas, leaving him fourth, before Kimi Räikkönen pulled the undercut at the second stops to push him further back.Although Williams performance chief Rob Smedley praised the team for its first call, he conceded that the second was a mistake."Valtteri had a good position at the start and was driving very well," said Smedley."Our call on the first stop was the...
