Lewis Hamilton: 'I think I had the pace to win'

Singapore Grand Prix – Mercedes AMG's Lewis Hamilton says he felt he had the pace to win the race. However, the championship leader was forced to retire at the halfway point of the race due to a technical problem. Hamilton's first retirement of 2015 came after the championship leader started to haul himself into contention for the victory. Having been dropped in the first stint of the race, the first safety car and resulting pitstops allowed Hamilton to climb into P4 and onto the soft compound tyre.
