Hamilton takes pole as Ferrari separate Mercedes

Mercedes AMG Petronas driver Lewis Hamilton has qualified on pole position for the Italian Grand Prix, teammate Nico Rosberg was only able manage fourth. Hamilton topped all qualifying sessions on his way to taking his seventh pole position in a row and the 49th of his career, running a new Mercedes power unit along with respective fuel and lubricants from Petronas. Teammate Rosberg was only able to qualify fourth at the Italian circuit, who had to revert back to his previous power unit which has been used in every race since Canada. Q1: Torro Rosso driver Max Verstappen was perhaps the biggest loss of Q1, as the Dutch rookie had his engine cover ripped from his car around Curva Grande....
