Renault thinking stays as factory team or quit F1

The French firm Renault is currently evaluating its future options, which are staying as a supplier to Red Bull and Toro Rosso, buying an outfit on the grid and becoming a factory team, or leaving from the F1 altogether. Renault’s current contracts as power unit supplier to Red Bull and Toro Rosso expire at the end of 2016. 'Red Bull wants the confidence we have the capacity to catch up, and on our side we need the certainty we can catch up,' Renault Sport F1 managing director Cyril Abiteboul told Autosport.
