Alonso taken to hospital after testing incident

McLaren Honda Fernando Alonso has been taken to hospital following an incident during the final day of the second pre-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Alonso's car came to a rest on the approach to Turn 4 and he was transferred to the medical centre, before being airlifted to hospital. Both a McLaren and FIA spokesman confirmed that Alonso was 'speaking' and 'conscious' following the incident.
