Unfinished business drew Alonso to McLaren

Unfinished business has emerged as a key factor in Fernando Alonso returning to McLaren. The double world champion was finally confirmed at the Woking based team alongside 2009 world champion Jenson Button at a press conference on Thursday. The Spaniard’s move to McLaren surprised many when first mooted earlier in the year following an acrimonious departure from the team just one year into three-year deal in 2007. Having missed out on the title by just two points in a fractious year alongside Lewis Hamilton seven years ago, Alonso says the opportunity to make amends for 2007 played a part in the decision to return.
