Ocon gets Abu Dhabi practice run with Lotus
+ Esteban Ocon will drive for Lotus in opening practice ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Ocon, the newly crowned European Formula 3 champion, who sampled a two-year old Lotus at Valencia last month, will get his first run in the team’s 2014 challenger – the E22 on Friday at the Yas Marina Circuit
The 18-year-old Frenchman will also run for the Enstone-based squad on the opening day of the post-Abu Dhabi test, with regular reserve driver Charles Pic taking over for the second and final day.
“It is a fantastic opportunity for me to drive in my first session at a Grand Prix and I am tremendously grateful to Lotus F1 Team and Gravity Sport Management,” he said.
