Herbert: McLaren need 'calm' Button

Former Formula 1 driver Johnny Herbert says "it's a no-brainer" that McLaren should retain Jenson Button as they need a "calming presence" to counter a "disruptive" Fernando Alonso. Two-time World Champion Alonso is set to return to the Woking squad next year, but the team are yet to decide if Button or Kevin Magnussen will be his team-mate. Alonso, of course, had a turbulent one-off year with McLaren in 2007 and he left the team for Renault at the end of the season before joining Ferrari ahead of the 2010 campaign.
