Hamilton clean sweeps U.S. GP practice
Lewis Hamilton set the fastest time in the third and final practice session for the United States Grand Prix on Saturday emerging as the clear favourite for pole position in qualifying later in the day. Hamilton, quickest in both outings on Friday, was nearly a whopping nine-tenths quicker than Mercedes teammate and title rival Nico Rosberg even though the Briton struggled on his initial runs which saw a lock up and a spin at Turn 12 the following lap. Rosberg too had issues as he battled with glazed brakes during his outing. Both the Mercedes drivers headed out to set their times only with just over 20 minutes remaining in the hour long session.
