Marussia and Caterham set to miss US GP

Sutton Images Enlarge Bernie Ecclestone has confirmed Marussia will join Caterham in missing the US Grand Prix. Caterham's participation in the Austin race has looked in doubt all week, with administrators taking over the running of the team on Friday. Marussia has also been struggling financially this season and, with Saturday the day cars are shipped to Texas by Formula One Management, it appears the race will be run with just 18 cars. Ecclestone confirmed the news to Reuters journalist Alan Baldwin. @Marussia_F1Team will not be going to Austin and nor will @CaterhamF1.
