Alonso tops final Singapore session

Fernando Alonso set the fastest time during the final practice session ahead of qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix.
Alonso’s time of 1:47.299 was 0.051s clear of Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo, while Nico Rosberg – who led the way during early running on Prime tyres – was third.
Jean-Éric Vergne put in a late lap to claim fourth position, with reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel in fifth place.
Lewis Hamilton had a scruffy session as he suffered a half-spin and ran wide on his hot lap on his way to sixth.
Williams drivers Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas were seventh and eighth quickest as they recovered from their Friday malaise.
