McLaren set to remove FRIC at Hockenheim
– McLaren has become the first Formula 1 team to confirm its stance over front and rear interconnected (FRIC) suspension, stating that it currently plans to run without the system at the German Grand Prix.The FIA issued a fresh technical directive concerning the use of FRIC last week, with a ban coming as soon as this weekend's Hockenheim event unless teams could unanimously agree to delay it until the 2015 season.Without a deal being reached, teams continuing to use FRIC would be at risk of protests from rivals that had removed it, while the FIA could inform the stewards that it deemed their cars to be in breach of the regulations.Amid the uncertainty of which side teams would fall,...
