Sauber enduring its worst spell in F1

Currently languishing in tenth place in the constructors’ championship with no points on the board, Sauber’s barren streak is its worst in Formula One so far. Nine races in, the team is yet to open its account with the run from the season-opening Australian Grand Prix to the recently concluded British GP matching its longest ever point-less streak in the sport. It had previously failed to score in nine straight races between the 1995 European GP and the 1996 San Marino GP although in that period the Swiss team finished seventh and eighth twice, and once in ninth place, all of which would count for points – amounting to 22 in all - today.
