Alonso will not retire until he is a three-time champion

Ferrari's Fernando Alonso says he will not retire from Formula 1 until he has secured a third world title. The Spaniard took back-to-back championships with Renault in 2005 and 2006 but has failed to finish a season at the top of the drivers' standings since. He has been runner-up to Sebastian Vettel in three of the last four seasons, just missing out on the title in both 2010 and 2012.
