No strike, but show us the money

In the wake of Romain Grosjean’s confirmation of unpaid salaries from Lotus last year, Nico Hulkenberg was forced to address claims from Germany's Sport Bild, that several drivers for smaller teams were still owed unpaid wages dating back to 2013. Sport Bild inferred that the Grand Prix Drivers' Association, had also signed a document vowing to strike if the situation wasn’t. A threat that Nico Hulkenberg vehemently denied. “No, that’s not true. Yes, the GPDA, it is a theme at the moment” said Hulkenberg. “We are talking, discussing that issue regarding the unpaid drivers, something which is not good for the sport and the pinnacle of motor-racing.
