Ricciardo handed 10 place grid drop for Bahrain

Red Bull/Getty Images Daniel Ricciardo has been given a 10 place grid penalty for next weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix. Ricciardo was penalised with the grid drop alongside a stop and go penalty after Red Bull released him unsafely from his third stop at the Malaysian Grand Prix. The Australian retired from the race during the closing laps. "It was looking like a solid points finish, the start was really good and I made positions," he told BBC Sport. "I was starting to mix it up at the front which is fun but at the last pit stop we had an issue, a puncture, front wing issue, the stop go.
