Lotus' troubles continue in qualy
Romain Grosjean still believes his E22 could be a "monster of a car" but first the team needs to resolve their issues.
The Enstone outfit has been on the back foot all weekend in Melbourne and it was more of the same in Saturday's qualifying.
Having covered just four laps in final practice where a "misfire" resulted in some frustration from Grosjean, he had hoped for some improvement in qualifying.
It was not to be.
The 27-year-old qualified down in 21st place with only his team-mate Pastor Maldonado, who did not set a lap time, behind him.
On the up side, though, Grosjean's 1:36.993 was within the 107 per cent qualifying rule.
