Kobayashi relishing 'positive challenge'
This season Kamui Kobayashi is hoping to put his past experience to good use by helping new team Caterham.
Having finished with the wooden spoon last season, Caterham are determined to not only get back at main rivals Marussia but also to make inroads into F1's midfield.
As such the team has brought in Kobayashi, who spent three years with Sauber before competing for Ferrari in last year's World Endurance Championships, in the hope that his experience will pay dividends.
"After a one year break I am very excited to be back in Formula One, but I also had a lot of courage to want this job with this team. I have to say it is a very positive challenge for me," he told AFP.
