New rules undermine budget cap Mateschitz
Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz believes the new regulations undermine the proposed new budget cap.Following a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) in January it was announced that cost reduction and control regulations will be presented in June for implementation in 2015. A budget cap has long been a topic of discussion – three new teams joined in 2010 under the pretence that one would be introduced – but disagreements over how it should be enforced has so far prevented further progress.Asked for his thoughts on the new proposal, Mateschitz said the recent expensive power unit regulations contradict the FIA's plans to cut costs."There is always the question of what...
