Rosberg: 'Every lap is important'

The Mercedes F1 team gained vital information on its 2014 car, the W05, on day two of winter testing in Jerez after Nico Rosberg completed almost 100 laps. The German driver says every lap of the Spanish circuit is important, to test the reliability of the new car and to help him get used to the new systems and controls. He finished the day with the highest lap count and in fourth place, with a best time of 1m25.558. Running started in wet conditions after rain overnight, with the track then being artificially watered to make conditions more suitable for the full wet tyre.
