Button fastest on day two of winter testing in Jerez
Jenson Button has topped the second day of winter testing at the Jerez circuit in Spain, giving the new McLaren MP4-29 its first mileage. The Woking-based outfit didn't run on the opening day due to an electrical issue, but Button was straight out on track when the green light was shown at the end of the pit lane on Wednesday morning.
However, the big story came from Red Bull Racing after the team was forced to end their running early due to an 'energy store problem' on the new RB10. It was a frustrating day for the reigning constructors' champions, as they only managed to complete three laps on the opening day.
