Kimi was the man of the day in Jerez
There is no point in analyzing the importance of Kimi Raikkonen completing the most laps of any car today nor in emphasizing the fact that his fastest lap was seven tenths faster than Lewis Hamilton's. There is little use in bothering with any of that until the season gets underway in Australia. But, after a full day of more waiting around than actual driving, it is important to take a minute to realize that we have witnessed the dawn of possibly the sport's most important season.
