Ward withdraws, Todt to be unopposed
David Ward has withdrawn from the upcoming FIA Presidential election, having been unable to garner sufficient support from member clubs. This effectively leaves current President Jean Todt unopposed in his bid to secure a second term at the helm. Ward, who issued his presidential manifesto in September, explained that he was pulling out of the process in a letter sent to all FIA Member Clubs on Thursday, at the same time taking the opportunity to highlight perceived flaws in the current system.
