Pirelli close to finalising three-year contract

Pirelli are closing on a new deal which will see them supplying Formula 1 tyres exclusively for the next three years. The Italian manufacturer has just reached the end of a three-year deal and was awarded a single-season contract for 2014 after the FIA failed to put out a tender for new manufacturers to come forward. Pirelli however is keen to agree a new deal which will cement their future in the sport until at least the end of 2016.
