Alonso out in Q2 in Abu Dhabi
Fernando Alonso failed to make it through to the final phase of qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit.The Spaniard has struggled all weekend, as has Ferrari, although Felipe Massa did make the cut, and was just ahead in P10, 0.104 seconds up in the sister F138. It is the first time Alonso has failed to make it into the top-ten shootout all season.McLaren's Jenson Button meanwhile also went out and wound up in P13 on the timesheets, one spot behind fellow Brit and Force India pilot, Paul di Resta. Toro Rosso's Jean-Eric Vergne and the Williams' of Pastor Maldonado and Valtteri Bottas were the other men that failed to progress, finishing in 14th, 15th and 16th...
