Weight limit concerns van der Garde
Giedo van der Garde says Formula 1 would find itself in an "outrageous" situation if drivers are at a disadvantage, or even forced out of the sport, because of their weight. With the introduction of new powertrains, the FIA has increased the weight limit from 642kg to 690kg for the 2014 campaign, but there are still concerns that drivers such as Nico Hülkenberg and Paul di Resta, who both weigh in at 74kg, will be too heavy. "I'm on the limit at 73kg," Caterham driver van der Garde told GPUpdate.net when quizzed over the matter.
