Ferrari 'thought hard' about Hülkenberg

Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali has admitted that the Maranello-based outfit "thought long and hard" about signing Nico Hülkenberg for the 2014 campaign, but ultimately chose Kimi Räikkönen due to the Finn's greater experience. As the sport prepares to enter a new era of regulations, with V8 engines making way for turbocharged 1.6-litre V6 powerplants, Domenicali claimed that Räikkönen was the safest choice, but made clear that Hülkenberg remains a target for the future. "He [Hülkenberg] was a contender and we thought long and hard about him joining. But because he's more experienced, we chose Kimi Räikkönen," Domenicali told German publication Sport Bild....
