Pérez: Now harder to score good points
Sergio Pérez says it is getting increasingly difficult for teams such as McLaren to take home large points hauls in the second half of the 2013 season, with those involved in the battle for titles maintaining a high rate of car development until the final round. After enduring a troublesome start to the campaign with its MP4-28 chassis, McLaren soon found itself at a crossroads with regards to next year's regulation overhaul. This led the Woking-based outfit to switch its design focus, while other trailing teams have adopted a similar approach in an attempt to gain a jump on their frontrunning rivals.
