Beer follows Raikkonen to Ferrari
Ferrari has signed Lotus' head of aerodynamics Dirk de Beer in an attempt to rekindle its title-winning years. It is expected that de Beer will work alongside Ferrari’s existing head of aero, Loic Bigois, from next year, although this is yet to be confirmed by the team.
With the new raft of regulations coming into effect from next season, it will be key that de Beer is able to settle into the team quickly and as efficiently as possible. He will be joining former Lotus technical director James Allison, who is widely believed to have targeted people to help improve the team’s performance when he joined the Scuderia last month.
