GP2: Leimer takes hold of title fight

GP2 Media Service Racing Engineering driver Fabio Leimer has moved into the lead of the GP2 championship after the series' races at Monza. Leimer took advantage of a slow pit stop for Sam Bird in the feature race to claim his third victory of the season. Bird was able to hang on to second, with the podium completed by his Russian Time team-mate Tom Dillmann. It was a bad race for several other front runners. Jolyon Palmer's wheel detached following his pit stop, while team-mate Felipe Nasr suffered an oil leak and was forced to retire.
