Räikkönen: Lotus just not fast enough

Kimi Räikkönen says his car was simply "not fast enough" to fight for a place at the sharp-end of the Monza grid, with the Finn claiming a season-worst slot of 11th. Having trialled the long-wheelbase varation of the E21 chassis throughout Friday practice, Räikkönen reverted to the standard design overnight, but the former World Champion was unable to make major strides and suffered an early qualifying exit. "We were just not fast enough today," Räikkönen explained. "We have been suffering a bit all weekend so far and it was the same today.
