Lotus showing good shape at Monza
MONZA, September 6th, 2013 (F1plus).- It was sunny day at Monza. A nice atmosphere to register third best time in practice, something that Lotus is enjoying twice as much, since both drivers clocked the exact same time of 1:25.116 in the afternoon session. The highlight of the day was the bold move by Lotus of bringing Raikkonen’s car with a longer chassis configuration on his E21 to see if it adapts better to Monza’s high speeds. All teams set their cars with a low drag to make the most of the endless straights and lack of high aero corners. So far, it seems to be working well, as both performances were very close from Webber’s times (second best) but a bit far from a huge Vettel...
