Could Mexican GP replace NewJersey for 2014?
According to our friend Christian Sylt, a return of the Mexican Grand Prix might happen and could fill a vacant spot left by the absence of a grand prix in New Jersey for 2014. Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone said:
“I should know within a couple of weeks about Mexico,” Ecclestone said, “I'm going to try to make it happen.”
It's an interesting choice as the event is said to be funded and would take place at Mexico City's Autódromo Hermanos Rodriguez. You may recognize one name involved with the project in Tavo Hellmund who was the mastermind and creator of the AUstin Grand Prix before falling out with the financial backers of the project.
