Symonds starts work at Williams
Pat Symonds has officially started work at Williams, but the team have warned that he shouldn't be seen as the magic wand to solve their woes.
Symonds quit his consultancy job at Marussia in July to take up the position of technical director at the Grove squad following the departure of Mike Coughlan. He admitted after his appointment that he wants to "return the team to its rightful place at the pinnacle of Formula 1", but deputy principal Claire Williams has warned not to expect too much too soon.
"Hopefully, [he can] deliver performance to the end of the season on the FW35 and then help with the development of the FW36 for next year," she told Autosport....
