'Spectacular' Bottas impresses Williams
Williams Deputy Team Principal Claire Williams has applauded the “spectacular” job done by Valteri Bottas so far this season. Bottas made his Formula One début with Williams at this year’s Australian Grand Prix, having spent 2012 as the team’s development driver, yet the Finn is still looking for his first points in the sport as his team have struggled to the tame the troublesome FW35.
Despite this, the 23-year-old has impressed the paddock with his obvious speed, lining up 3rd on the grid in Canada and out qualifying his well respected team-mate Pastor Maldonado, the winner of last year’s Spanish Grand Prix, 6 times in 10 races.
