Williams With Work To Do In Hungary

Williams drivers Pastor Maldonado and Valtteri Bottas both admit there is room for improvement with their car if they are to avoid another Q1 exit in Hungary. The pair were thirteenth and eighteenth respectively in practice today and Maldonado doesn’t feel the FW35 is optimised yet for the hot conditions. “It wasn’t a bad day for us as our performance looked better than at previous events compared to the times posted today. We still need to work on the balance as the feeling is similar, but we will analyse the data and try to close the gap for tomorrow.
