Grosjean: Lotus pace looking ‘pretty good’

Lotus driver Romain Grosjean reckons that the Enstone-based squad is in a good position to challenge for top honours in the Hungarian Grand Prix following Friday practice, the Frenchman alluding to the similarities between tyre supplier Pirelli’s new compounds and the nature of the old rubber. With track temperatures hovering around 40 degrees Celsius, Grosjean clocked a time good enough for third fastest in the afternoon session. Having returned to form with a podium finish amid similar sunny skies in Germany, the former GP2 Champion is remaining optimistic for Sunday’s race, although admitted that the tight lap-time margins observed throughout the field leaves his team slightly unsure...
