CVC to monitor Ecclestone bribery case

Formula 1 owners CVC Capital Partners will "continue to monitor developments" after Bernie Ecclestone was officially indicted by German prosecutors on Wednesday. Ecclestone, 82, faces legal action over a payment of $44 million (£29 million) to Gerhard Gribkowsky, who is serving an eight and a half year jail term for corruption. Ecclestone has denied bribing Gribkowsky, and claims that he paid the German banker to prevent a UK tax inquiry into the sale of Formula 1 to CVC back in 2005.
