Hamilton bemused by tyre degradation

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton says he has "nothing positive to say" about Pirelli’s tyres following Sunday afternoon's German Grand Prix, with the Mercedes driver and team-mate Nico Rosberg again suffering from high degradation in race conditions. Having started from pole position, Hamilton immediately slipped back to third after making a sluggish getaway, before his troubles were compound by severe tyre wear. The Briton salvaged fifth with a late move on compatriot Jenson Button, but is at a loss as to why his team is suffering such major issues compared to its closest rivals.
