Hamilton refuses to give up on title hopes

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has refused to give up on his title hopes as the British Grand Prix approaches, although the Briton admits it will be "very difficult" to catch current leader Sebastian Vettel, who sits 55 points ahead in the standings. Speaking in the drivers' press conference at Silverstone on Thursday, Hamilton talked up the performance levels of key rivals Ferrari and Red Bull, but claimed that his team will do everything in its powers to cut the gap over the course of the next 12 races.
