FR3.5: Vandoorne dominates in Moscow

McLaren young driver Stoffel Vandoorne dominated proceedings as he stormed to two victories in Formula Renault 3.5′s visit to Moscow. Vandoorne secured pole position for the opening race and controlled the 33 lap affair, finishing comfortably clear of Red Bull junior driver Antonio Felix da Costa, who was suffering from an exhaust problem. Championship leader Kevin Magnussen could manage only eleventh and thus saw his advantage over Vandoorne slashed to just four points. The race was marred by a heavy accident for Lucas Foresti, who rolled his Comtec machine after making contact with Nikolay Martsenko, an incident which ruled Foresti out of the second race.
