Vowles on Williams weight issue: ‘Not complicated to bring it down’

James Vowles has sounded a note of caution about the scale of the weight problem affecting Williams’ new-generation car, warning that although the technical solution is straightforward, the financial realities of Formula 1’s cost cap make fixing it far more complicated. Since the team was forced to skip F1’s Barcelona shakedown, whispers of a car significantly overweight – perhaps by 20kg or more – have transitioned from paddock rumor to a suffocating reality.
